Well rounded build with good defense & great offensive potential.
I experimented with a ton of different Terra builds. I came to the conclusion that while she’s easy to build as a tank, it’s a bit harder to translate damage items into real, meaningful damage during a team fight. While she has good sustained damage, her offensive impact outside of CC felt lacking. One thing I experimented with was tons of pen, and while it is necessary it limits your ability to build Terra to her tanky strengths.
Introducing the armor shredding, true damage spell blade build. Basilisk alone provides just enough ‘pen’ to make your basics meaningful for when your abilities are offline. Augmentation and Elafrost further enhances these basics and provides true damage to ignore tank armor & squishy base armor alike. (ADC/Mage base armor is very impactful, especially for Terra) Citadel provides much needed durability while also further reducing enemy armor (By 20%! Huge!) While earthshaker rounds off this build with some Attack speed to make auto cancels a bit smoother and to give you more damage during ability downtime. This build allows Terra to do increased damage as the fight goes on with Basilisk and Earthshaker enhancing her damage potential. Last is a magical armor flex, you can go for Dread/Legacy/Buckler, depending on what you need.
Of course, you can build defense items sooner if necessary or even substitute them with pure Frontline items if you need the durability.
FYI: This build mauls tanks. You will also be tanky, during ult especially. (4,500 HP, 200+ Physical Armor, 147 Magical Armor) with GREAT damage output.
